This self-portrait is a metaphor for my creative life. It’s bold, precarious, and deeply personal. Set beneath the big top, I paint myself not just as an observer, but as a performer: a clown balancing on a circus horse, mid-act.

The clown costume allows both vulnerability and theatricality (mask and mirror) while the circus horse speaks to movement, rhythm, and the delicate art of balance. Together, they represent the daily dance between chaos and control, risk and grace, that defines my artist path.

The tent becomes both stage and sanctuary, a space where imagination runs wild but discipline keeps the act alive. In this image, the paintbrush is my anchor and becomes my tool for navigating uncertainty and making meaning.

This work is a celebration of creativity as both spectacle and truth: strange, joyful, exposed, and brave. It’s about showing up, again and again, with courage and curiosity—stepping into the ring not just to entertain, but to reveal.
